Now a municipal villa of Albano that looks out onto the high street, it was built on the remains of the sumptuous Roman villa of Pompeo Magno, the ruins of which, still very imposing, are dotted around the garden grounds.
The vast lawns shaded by century old oaks are lined by ancient box wood hedged and at the of the majestic avenues a vast view over the countryside opens out right to the sea, which twinkles in the distance.
Unfortunately only a small part of this magnificent park is still being subject to maintenance botanical assistance, the rest is now overgrown.
