Browse fullscreen [x]

Velletri’s “Camellia Festival” has become a botanical and cultural event that goes way beyond the town, now an important national and international occasion, with past editions attended by delegations from foreign embassies who have expressed their admiration and interest for this particular Italian flower. The event offers the opportunity to see splendid examples of camellias, on display in major gardens, donated by the local council and by national and international experts .
For the last two years the local administration has brought this important event into the town centre, for two days worth of events packed with cultural, historical and folklore activities, with hundreds of camellia plants on display throughout the town, offering an itinerary for visitors to admire and wonder at the many different varieties produced in the city, to be enjoyed along with the panoramic views and the unique examples of the flowers found growing in private gardens .
