9th Wild Boar Festival

On April 29, 2012 will be the ninth “Sagra del Cinghiale” (Wild Boar Festival) in San Gregorio Da Sassola, promoted by the Italian hunting federation, Federcaccia, and the “La Torre” hunting team – an event not to be missed for lovers of wild boar meat and dog enthusiasts.

If you go to this picturesque town in the Aniene Valley, you will be able to taste their famous pappardelle with wild boar sauce and wild boar cacciatore, all accompanied by excellent homemade wine and live music. In addition, during the evening, sausage sandwiches will be available, as well as other local products.

The day’s events will begin at 8 am with the registration of the dogs for the dog show; at 10 am, judges from ENCI, the Italian kennel club, will evaluate the dogs taking part in the show; at 12 noon the food stands will open and at 6 pm will be the award ceremony for dog show winners, with entertainment.

Plus: a lottery packed with prizes in the evening, games for children, lots of music and much other in the afternoon. Don’t miss this opportunity to spend a day outdoors in a friendly, wholesome environment.
