Allied Landing Museum

The Museum, inaugurated by the local council in 1990 in some of the rooms in the Sangallo Fort in Nettuno, commemorates and documents the landing of the Anglo-American allies during the second world war (January 22nd 1944).

A series of panels illustrate the event and the four months of fighting that followed the landing and they are supplemented by an exhibition of documents, maps, photographs, newspapers of the period as well as weapons, medals, flags, banners, equipment, uniforms, kit and also machinery belonging to armies.
 

The visit to the Museum can be completed by a visit to the American Military Cemetery.
