At n.34 of the street by the same name, between Piazza D’Amico and Piazza San Giovanni, stands the house of the Brancaleone family, previously the residence of the famous knight Giovanni, one of the thirteen victorious champions of the “Disfida di Barletta” (Challenge of Barletta ).

 

The arched portal has a cornice with two dragons which used to support the family coat of arms, which has been removed and is currently preserved in the cloisters of the S.Pio Convent.
