The Church of the Holy Saviour in Vicovaro was built on Roman ruins. Probably medieval in origin, as the characteristic belfry would indicate, the small building has a rectangular floor plan.
The ceiling is trussed with notable wooden supports. Inside, a magnificent Gothic chapel once belonged to the Orsini family and is today the Chapel of Loreto. It has an elaborate, polylobed arch in peperino stone, carved in the Sulmona manner (early 15th century
