The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Ciciliano has a basilica floor plan, with no transept, a nave and two aisles separated by round arches supported on columns. The choir is semi-circular and the bowl of the apse is separated from the vault of the nave by a rounded arch that, repeated at intervals, divides it up. There are flat columns with richly adorned Ionic capitals leaning up against the columns of the nave.
Above the arches, along the perimeter, is a string course. The choirstall, the bowl of the apse and the central vault are painted in watercolour. The altar piece of the main altar is made from serpentine, alabaster, black and old gold marble.
The façade consists of a central body, that is slightly higher and ends in a tympanum and two side fronts. Flat surfaces alternate with concave areas giving the covering movement. There is a decorated, jutting cornice dividing the façade into two orders about 2m above the ground.
There is a semicircular tympanum above the entrance portal. The late 19th century paintings that decorate the interior, by Ceruti were restored in the mid 20th century. The precious marble altar piece dates to the 18th century.
