The strategic positioning of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, built in 1600, ensured its dominant position in the village and confirmed its role as main fulcrum.
The single nave has two chapels on the left probably built in the 19th century and dedicated to Our Lady of Pity and St. Roch.
The building was restored after being damaged twice by lightning, in both 1857 and 1869. The facade, with a marble screen added in the 1960s, has a simple structure with a large circular window above central portal.
The portal still has its original decoration with moulded frame, side pilasters with capitals and top decoration, scrolled tympanum and a central cross on three hills.
