The parish church of St. Sixtus situated in the square of the same name in Bellegra was built in the 1970s on the site of a 16th century church that was the first place of worship for the Christian congregation of Bellegra.
The old church was demolished in 1972 to create building space for a new one.
One of the main archeological attractions of the town, the remains of the Cyclopean walls, can be seen in the Piazza San Sisto.
