The Church of St. Lawrence Martyr is the parish church of the town of Sant'Oreste.
It was built from 1568 to an original design by Vignola, under commission from Cardinal Alessandro Farnese, to replace a smaller 12th - 13th century Romanic church, of which a bell tower with mullioned windows in travertine still remains. The church was extended in 1745, eliminating the 16th century apse.
The façade is divided into two by pilasters with Doric capitals and entablature supporting a central tympanum above the entrance, and there are connections with lateral volutes on the upper part. The bell tower has a bell dating to 1527.
The interior has barrel-vaulted side chapels and nave, with lunettes in the ceiling. It houses an 18th century altarpiece of the Martyrdom of St. Lawrence by Ceccherini, a canvas of Our Lady of the Rosary, painted in occasion of the battle of Lepanto, a 16th century in gilded wood pulpit and a 1638 organ on the other side, made by the Bonifazi family.
