Zagarolo, Palestrina and Genazzano, small towns surrounded by luxuriant green valleys, can be discovered by bicycle (although the prevalently hilly countryside makes it quite a tough pedal) or on horseback. Seeing as the love of horses in this area south of Rome runs very deep, we have decide to recommend a few equestrian centres or ridings school very close to the towns which can provide you with excellent rides on which you can discover the naturalistic beauties and breathtaking views that can be enjoyed on the slopes of the Prenestini Mountains. Zagarolo - "La Vecchia prateria" Holiday Farm (has stables and a riding school among the many services it has on offer); Via della Servicola 7 (close to the Cotral stop at the junction that leads into the centre of Zagarolo);
