Festival of Culinary Traditions and Allumiere “Acquacotta” Soup

From 12 to 15 July, Allumiere town centre will be the meeting place for lovers of homemade cooking. Through the skilful hands of grandmothers, the typical dishes of local tradition, will be rediscovered. These will include the delicious Acquacotta and Mentucciata, two "poor" dishes made from bread, vegetables and potatoes; hand-made Beghe (type of pasta) and Gnocchi, Fettuccine served with Truffles, Snails, Game and Local Wines in addition to the unmissable Pizza Brodosa (a dessert made with sugar, cinnamon and ricotta).

10 pm: Trio Moretti… La musica del cuore (music of the heart) - (Hit covers from the ’70s and ’80s)

3 pm: V° Torneo di Burraco (5th Tournament of Burraco)
 
6 pm: Demonstration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation simulated by the Allumiere branch of the Italian Red Cross
 
9.30 pm: Monia Band Acoustic Band
 
11 pm: Cabaret… Directly from Zelig Off… Oscar Biglia with “A Qualcuna Piace Calvo” (Some Like it Bald)
 
Midnight: Mezzanotte e dintorni …(around midnight…) Hot croissants and open bar
 
During the 4 days of the Festival the Mercato di Antiquariato, Collezionismo e Artigianato exhibition (Antiques, Collectors and Craftsman’s street market show) organized by Vi.Da. srl (Tel. + 39 338/2752831) of Rome, will be open non-stop.
