La Mangialonga

Now in its 12th edition, La Mangialonga is a nature and food event that has characterized the city of Rocca di Papa for many years, combining history, nature, flavors and enjoyment.
 
 
Scheduled this year for Sunday, June 17, the traditional event attracts hundreds of participants every year from all the districts around Rome, in the enjoyment of good food and fine wines along a route that covers about 10 km, in discovery of the marvelous historical and natural heritage of Rocca di Papa, including the typical flavors of the local cuisine.
 
The participants will meet at 8 am in Piazza della Repubblica and during the walk will make four stops for tastings of the local products: the first, breakfast at the meeting point, and two more during the walk, that will be a huge surprise for all the participants, since the route has purposely been kept secret, ending with a luncheon feast, with acts and musical entertainment.
 
Throughout the town center it will be possible to admire the murals painted on the walls of the houses by artists from Rocca di Papa and elsewhere, resuming an ancient tradition of the city.

Price of the regular ticket: €10
 
Price of the discount ticket: €5 (for children from 7 to 12). Free for children from 0/6.
 
It will also be possible to buy tickets on June 10, 2012 from 7:30 am to 8 am in Piazza della Repubblica bearing in mind that the event can have a maximum number of 500 participants. Beyond that number it will not be possible to participate.
