Leoncelli Palace was built in the early 16th or late 14th century.
On 13th and 14th September 1557, the Peace Treaty of Cave was stipulated here, thereby ending the War of Campagna. Two rectangular slabs conserve the record of this event: one in peperino on the exterior, the other in travertino.
The area above the salon where the Treaty was signed was inhabited until 1989 by the Philippine nuns who still own the building.
The entrance portal to the convent is in sandstone with the Leoncelli crest carved into the ceiling, while the adjacent portal, which is older, is also in sandstone with a round arch.
The palace was renovated several years ago.
