Gualtiero Redivo - l'insostenibilità delle disuguagliasnze

Saturday, July 28 at 6 pm will see the opening of the exhibition "2x2=Materia", during which there will also be an acousmatic performance (inspired by the works on view) by musician Giuseppe Giorgi. A further indication of the "high" culture of which these two artists are standard-bearers, with the loudspeakers becoming a metaphor for that veil from behind which the disciples of Pythagoras listened to their master.

The exhibition featuring the works of artists Massimo Giorgi and Gualtiero Redivo will be open to the public from Saturday, July 28 to August 30, 2012 at the Palazzo Caccia Canali in Sant'Oreste.

Gualtiero Redivo and Massimo Giorgi have recreated the exhibition hosted at the Galleria Harpax in Ferentino which closed June 28. Here in Sant'Oreste it is being held in the 16th century Palazzo Caccia Canali, home of the Museo Naturalistico del Soratte (Soratte Natural History Museum) and said to be the work of the architect Vignola. In 2011 it was part of the campaign of the FAI, the entity for the preservation of Italy's cultural and natural heritage.

Two artists with different ways of seeing and different personal approaches in exploring physical matter in order to bring out the urgency of a critical, lucid conscience that gives tangible form to imagination in order to go beyond the problems of contemporary experience.

Matter which becomes the vehicle for dense and profound meanings that take on a provocative nature in opposition to the superficiality of a mimetic and static portrayal of reality, the expression of a post-modern culture which is often senseless and only concerned with pursuing commercial consensus.
