The convent complex of Our Lady of Jesus, in the town of Artena, commissioned by Scipione Borghese, built between 1629 and 1633 and entrusted by him to the Franciscan fathers, holds a small museum of holy art, which is managed by the monks.
The exhibits include ancient liturgical objects, 18th century vestments embroidered in gold and various Chinese artefacts brought back from different places in China, and at different times, by the missionary fathers. There are also paintings from the convent church, dating to the 17th century.
A small section is dedicated to the memory of missionary Father Ginepro Cocchi who was killed in 1939 in the Giovanni da Montecorvino Mission in Taiyuan. Photographs, documents and objects record the life and work of the monk whose beatification is ongoing.
