Inside the Augustan monastery annexed to the sanctuary church of the Madonna del Buon Consiglio – built in medieval times and extensively renovated in various phases between the XV and XIX centuries – there are some rooms accessed through the sacristy used to house a museum preserving sacred-art, devotional and ecclesiastical objects.

The visit begins in the first corridor called “di San Giovanni” (St. John’s corridor), after the most important work exhibited there, a marble statue of the Baptist, dating to the XV century and attributed, even though it is a moot point, to Andrea Bregno. There is also a polyptych of the Umbrian school of the XV century and some large canvases of religious subjects most dating to the end of the eighteen hundreds, many of which were painted by Tito Troia.

You then go down the central gallery, where glass showcases containing votive offerings can be seen as well as other nineteenth-century paintings, attributed to, among others, Tommaso Minardi and Pietro Gagliardi. This leads onto the corridor called "della campanina"(of the bell) because it houses a XV-century bell, in use until 1933, which was said to have rung without the aid of the human hand on the occasion of the miraculous arrival of the image of the Madonna of the Buon Consiglio from Scutari (Albania).

There is the conference hall on the right, with its back wall that was frescoed in 1777 by Taddeo Kuntze, with the representation of the miracle of the Multiplication of bread and fish. The visit continues to the upper floor where, from a narrow corridor in which numerous votive offerings can still be seenin their original frames, you can enter a room with a centralised plan, in which there are showcases containing liturgical furnishings dating to the XVII-XIX centuries.

Adjoining this , there are the rooms where the Blessed Stefano Bellesini lived, who was the sanctuary's priest from 1831 to 1840. There are two rooms, the first, used for work, is furnished with a chair, a desk and a bookcase, while the second is a bedroom, containing numerous objects belonging to the priest
