The collection of findings is exhibited in the former convent of the Augustinian Fathers in the Sanctuary of Santa Maria Della Sughera. Such a location has no doubt been an advantage in allowing for the restoration and use of a historical structure that had been abandoned for a long time.
Around the building, we find the reception, the temporary exhibition area and a large room for conferences designed to host initiatives of a cultural nature. The exhibition is found on the upper floor, where you can now visit the main wing that exhibits mainly Etruscan era artefacts. Great attention has been paid to the illustration of cultural practices and aspects linked to funeral archaeology, which is a common theme throughout the entire display. Grave goods from the main necropolises of the territory have found a place, in which a lot of space has been set aside for materials from Pian della Conserva and Castellina del Ferrone, which can be counted among the most representative and best explored sites of the area.
On the upper floor, laboratories have been set up for restoration activities and experimental archaeology: indeed, the museum is involved in didactic activities aimed at schools and has initiatives that allow learning to take place in a different way, through a direct experience with the ancient world.
