Summer in Genzano

 
This year, the Town of Genzano di Roma has created a “summer garden” to provide a link between a series of summer events.

From admission-free movies in the main square and events at the Palazzo Sforza Cesarini to the “Calici di Stelle” event, the heart of this garden for the night of San Lorenzo when, in addition to the suggestive torch-light procession from Nemi to Genzano, there will also be tastings of wine and local specialties, star-gazing, music and guided night-time tours of the Palazzo Sforza Cesarini and its grounds.
 
Thursday, August 2, 9 pm – Movies in Piazza Frasconi: "Posti in piedi in paradiso", free admission
Saturday, August 4, 9 pm – Terrazza Palazzo Cesarini: "Evento Sax" with four different sax quartets
Friday, August 10, 9 pm – Magical torch-light procession under the stars around Nemi Lake (in collaboration with the Town of Nemi); starting at 9 pm – Parco Sforza Cesarini: “Calici di Stelle”
Saturday, August 11, starting at 5 pm – Area around the Temple of Diana, Museo delle Navi and surrounding area; “Le idi di Diana”, with tour of the museum, events, tastings and night-time star-gazing. In collaboration with the Town of Nemi and the Lazio Region Archeology Preservation Office.
Sunday, August 19, 9 pm – Terrazza Palazzo Cesarini: “Recital del poeta Beppe Costa, tra musica e poesia”        
Monday, August 27, 9 pm – Grounds of the Museo delle Navi Romane, Serbia Youth Orchestra, free admission. In collaboration with the Town of Nemi and the Lazio Region Archeology Preservation Office
Friday, August 31, 9 pm – Grounds of the Museo delle Navi Romani, Elio (from the Italian band Elio e le Storie Tese) and Roberto Prosseda in concert (Mozart, Rossini, Weill and Lombardi). In collaboration with the Town of Nemi and the Lazio Region Archeology Preservation Office.
