Tittoni Palace - Manziana

Browse fullscreen [x]

Tittoni Palace, situated in Piazza Tittoni in the centre of Manziana, was built in 1526 to a design by architect Ottaviano Mascherino, incorporating two square towers remaining from the previous Prefetti di Vico Castle.
Intended to be the Residence of the Pious Institute of the Holy Spirit, the palace was bought in 1800 by the Tittoni family. It housed the administrative offices of the local tribunal and served as a summer residence for the abbots of the Pious Institute.
Its guests have included Count Philippe de Tournon, Napoleon's prefect.
