The association “Associazione Ars in Urbe” is pleased to invite all those interested to a guided tour of Villa Gregoriana in Tivoli which will be held on Saturday, June 16.

The tour will wend its way through the enchanting Villa Gregoriana with its waterfalls and archeological remains
in the verdant setting around the old Aniene river bed. The walk will follow along what was known
in the past as the “Valle dell’Infermo” (Valley of Hell), carved out at the feet of the ancient acropolis of the city by the river, and will allow participants to admire the Grotto of Neptune and the Grotto of the Sirens, where the river goes under. Then the itinerary will go back up over the opposite side of the valley to arrive at the acropolis with the two ancient temples of Sibilla and Tiburno.

The meeting time is 4 pm at the entrance in Largo Sant’Angelo and the tour will start at 4:15 pm (and last about two hours), led by Dr. Serena Caciolli.
